SCORE Baja 1000 Peninsula Run

Ryan Arciero confirmed “I will be driving with Mark Post in this years Baja 1000. I am excited to be teamed up with him and his entire team”. So we will see the #3 Riviera Racing trophy truck again. Question to Ryan on how he evaluates the option for the upcoming Baja 1000: “I am very confident that we have everything we need to win this race. Baja 1000 Pre-Run – first trip impressions originate from Cameron Steele posted on the Race-Dezert forum and therefor credits for this content to Cameron Steele. He made it about 1/3 of the way to La Paz with three buggies and 11 bikes and so far it looks pretty sweet according to his statements. There is lots of hwy construction on Hwy 3 between Ojos and Independencia. The whoops/rocks on the old Puertecitos road, it is HELL. There is 26 miles of pavement where you get on the hwy after old Puertecitos rd. The pavement mentioned stops at El Huffertino below Puertecitos, then 3 miles of nice graded road. About 18 miles of dirt to Gonzaga and its torn up. The Calamuje wash is rally different with the normal sections blown out by water damage. Beautiful now but lots of twists and turns. There is a new 5 mile section before the BOLA Rd. For the interested the northern and southern Baja 1000 early pre-run sections as Google maps to zoom in and look for the different sections of the race track. Read the rest of this entry »

Oct. begin pre-running just west of the San Felipe arches.A GPS file and detailed map from San Felipe to La Paz will be available.
