By Kyle LeDuc: “I was riding with my dad through mile 160 to 410. We were chasing Rick Johnson since the pole line in Felipe. We almost passed him three times! So when we got that close at Borrego we had to take it. Super sick and tons of fun. We got the truck to Nick Vanderwey and we were 2nd on the road behind Andy, about 4 1/2 mins. Nick drove about 30 or 40 miles and the mechanical fan that they run on the motor broke a blade, (super delux fan system!!!). The fan blade broke and punched through the radiator!
The water ran out and they tried to limp to the pit and it overheated the motor. They tried to fix it but it was dead! Its all good. We had an awesome truck to run to the finish for a top 3 finish for sure! The headed was cracked to that’s why it sounded so dam loud!”
