We started sixth and Curt (LeDuc) set an easy pace, wanted to take it easy and got over the summit and then he threw on the boosters and took off. I’m still catching my breath. All German X6 Trophy Truck debut at Baja 1000
For months now the offroad scene has eagerly awaited the premiere of the AGM-Jimco X6 SCORE Trophy Truck. Now it’s all go: In late September the new desert monster will be presented in Germany, with which rally ace Armin Schwarz and the All German Motorsports team tackle the US SCORE Championship. For August, All German Motorsports plan comparison tests with the new vehicle, which stands out from other Trophy Trucks through its low weight and substantially better aerodynamics. In September, the AGM-Jimco X6 SCORE Trophy Truck will celebrate its public launch in Germany. Team Vildosola #21 Red Bull Trophy Truck victorious
Tavo and Gus Vildolsola are the first Mexican National team to claim the Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 victory in it’s 43rd edition!! Averaging 55.8 mp/h in their #21 Red Bull Trophy Truck they covered the distance of 1061 miles from Ensenada to La Paz in 19:00:04 hrs. With that Vildolsola Racing also beat the motorcycle overall time of the winning 1x Honda. Robby Gordon, in his first outing with new colors – he’s now sponsored by his own, new energy drink “Speed Energy” finished in second place. He damaged a drive shaft and had some GPS issues throughout the race. Robby Gordon claims this is what cost him the overall win. Read the rest of this entry »
Mark Post and Ryan Arciero in TT #3
Ryan Arciero confirmed “I will be driving with Mark Post in this years Baja 1000. I am excited to be teamed up with him and his entire team”. So we will see the #3 Riviera Racing trophy truck again. Question to Ryan on how he evaluates the option for the upcoming Baja 1000: “I am very confident that we have everything we need to win this race. Last race before the grand final – The Baja 1000
With just a total of 65 points separating the top 20 overall point leaders in the 2010 SCORE Desert Series, the battles in several individual classes for cars and trucks are even tighter heading into next week’s 15th Annual SCORE Las Vegas Terrible’s Primm 300 desert race. Round 4 of the five-race 2010 SCORE Desert Series will be held Sept. 10.-12. in Primm, Nev. While November’s season-ending 43rd Annual Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 race in Mexico will finalize the individual class and overall point champions for the 37th year of the world’s foremost desert racing series, the SCORE Las Vegas Terrible’s Primm 300 will surely determine the contenders for this year’s titles. The SCORE Las Vegas Terrible’s Primm 300 will feature 21 Pro and 2 Sportsman classes for cars and trucks in Primm, located 45 miles south of Las Vegas at the California border. This year’s starting grid is expected to reach nearly 125 vehicles. Late entries will be accepted up until race morning.
